Sound for Good records have partnered with Trees for the Future to offer the new release "A Passage Through Time" by 3bc and William Spivey. Optionally, your donation of any amount to help support the Trees for the Future project would be greatly appreciated in helping us make a difference in the world by planting more trees with music.
A Passage Through Time is a collection of tracks that are presenting in the same order as they were written, each influenced by the preceding. The artists traded off who started each one to create five compositions in the ambient style.
released 07 January 2013
3bc is an ambient/electronic/experimental project of Don Cook, a Los Angeles based musician and composer. Primarily working with virtual instruments, Don weaves an engaging tapestry of sound from soothing melodic tones to the dark spaces of the sonic spectrum.
William Spivey of Flagstaff, Arizona turned to sound design composing ambient electronic sound-scapes after playing drums for 20 years.
William Spivey Links:
Since 1989, Trees for the Future has been helping communities around the world plant trees. Through seed distribution, agroforestry training, and our country programs, we have empowered rural groups to restore tree cover to their lands. Planting trees protects the environment and helps to preserve traditional livelihoods and cultures for generations. More information can be found at www.plant-trees.org
