Darth Buddha

from Alternoia by The New False Gods

This ia a tribute to John Tocher. Anyone who has been in the
Stillstream chat room during the transmission of Sadayatana will
recognise the name. This track is all about discovery - imagine
yourself in a swamp, and this amazing guy takes your hand and
takes you on a journey, showing you all these different aspects of
his land through the power of music - dark, light, noise, wet and
dry. Another varied track that moves between ritualistic sounds,
denser, darker music, organic pops and echoing spaces.

Gods of Education - Elvirus, Jack Hertz, Shane Morris

Elvirus is an electronic guitarist out of Washington D.C who makes his public debut here. It took a lot of coaxing to get this artist to go public. Heavily influenced by jazz and progressive rock. His earth trembling walls of distortion that border on mayhem are right at home on this album.

Jack Hertz works with real and artificial sounds to create intangible techno-organic impressions between music and noise. Jack has worked with many artists over the years and, like several of the artists that worked on this album, he is actively involved with promoting music in all its forms, from radio shows on Stillstream to the recent S4G (Sound For Good) label that donates all proceeds to charity.

Shane Morris is a well known electronic artist who tends to specialise in the darker side of ambient music. He is a multiinstrumentalist & composer working in the ambient, electronic, and space music domains. Shane has released numerous Creative commons albums and is also a recording artist at Spotted Peccary/Lotuspike records. For the track "Darth Buddha", he played mixed percussions and processings to create the smearing effect of the percussion sounds.
