"Dawns of War" is three part suite of long form ambient works that contemplate the climates of war. The collaboration by Peter DiPhillips and Jack Hertz incorporate drones, sound effects, orchestration and noise to explore the many complex emotions such as anger, defiance, victory, loss, and sorrow that effect the human condition.

Peter Di Phillips has played and studied music throughout his life, playing at various times piano,trombone,saxophone, percussion, keyboards, and synthesizers. While studying arranging and Sax at Berklee College of Music, he played in various jazz-rock-blues bands. After an industrial accident damaged one hand, he started using PC’s, in conjunction with looping, DAW’s, virtual synthesizers, and virtual instruments software, to create music and mix, master and produce his own CD’s. Jack Hertz works with real and artificial sounds to create intangible techno-organic impressions between music and noise. Jack has worked with many artists over the 30 years he has been playing.
